citizenM to settle in Ireland

The Dutch company citizenM is to open 245 rooms in 2024 in Dublin.

The property will be located in a 9 storey building designed by the Irish architect Sam Stephenson. The façade will be saved, and the rest of the building rebuilt. Despite several objections from the neighbours, the project has been approved in January 2022 by Dublin City Council for a new property in Bride Street close to Saint Patrick’s Cathedral

citizenM is already present in 8 European cities: Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Geneva, Glasgow, London, Paris, Rotterdam and Zurich.

The property will feature an open-air art gallery  and other venues to feature local art as citizenM usually does.
