Brown Hotels plans to expand its property portfolio with the opening of more than 20 new hotels in Greece and Cyprus.
Brown Hotels operates the Brown TLV brand as well as The Lighthouse, The Poli House and the new Dave brand.
Leon Avigad, founder and co-owner of Brown Hotels, said :
We now plan to open more than 20 hotels in the next 18 months, an investment that exceeds 100 million euros. It concerns the Brown Hotels brand and its sub-brands. It is in addition to the hotels already present in Athens, Thessaloniki, Limassol and Nicosia.
As newcomer to the Greek hotel market, Brown Hotels now operates the Brown Acropol Hotel and the Dave Red Hotel in central Athens. According to Avigad, the coronavirus pandemic has not affected the group's plans to open 11 hotels in Athens and Thessaloniki.
Avigad added :
The coronavirus pandemic has not affected our optimism. Anyone who is open-minded and flexible will adapt to the changing world. Our investment has been very successful so far.
Brown Hotels is exploring the opportunities presented by the Covid-19 crisis in the hospitality industry by turning to extended stays. As a result, Brown Living was created, a new hospitality concept offering extended stays for people who wish to stay longer in a hotel.
Brown Hotels is working closely with the Greek Ministries of Tourism and Investment, and the Municipality of Athens, to promote Brown's assets in Greece to local bars and culinary institutions.
