After two years of work, a former jail house has been transformed into a luxury four-star hotel by Mallino Developments Limited. After almost 100 years of ruin, Twelve Architects and Masterplanners, a London-based firm gave a creative and contemporary design to these walls in a £50 million conversion project
The Bodmin Jail Hotel in Cornwall will propose a balance between old & new with 70 bedrooms intertwine original jail features with cosy furnishings to create the perfect spot for a luxurious getaway.
Each room features a flat screen TV, free Wi-Fi to ensure the customer has everything he needs for a relaxing escape. Amenities include a restaurant, bistro, an alfresco dining area and a cocktail and gin bar, as well as event space for up to 300 people.
Located in Scarlett’s Well Road in Bodmin (Cornwall), the new hotel is only about 1 hour's drive from Plymouth. The Bodmin Jail Hotel, managed by Interstate Hotels & Resorts, will open on 12th February 2021
