The Thai luxury brand continues its strategic growth in Europe with the arrival of its first hotel in the Benelux market, in Amsterdam.
It is in the Netherlands that the brand belonging to the Minor Hotels Group will set up shop, with the Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam. After Spain and Portugal, and the south of France soon, the brand is continuing its European expansion. This new property will take the place of the NH Collection Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky, NH being also a brand of the Minor Hotels group. It will first be renovated and will open in autumn 2021. Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels, describes the arrival of the new hotel as "a milestone for the brand, being the first hotel in Northern Europe".
The Anantara Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky Amsterdam will be located in the heart of the city, amidst the museums, in a shopping area. It has a private boat jetty and is 5 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station and 25 minutes from Schiphol International Airport. It will count 402 rooms, including a presidential suite and a royal suite, of 100 and 150m2 each. The hotel will offer the possibility to host various events, such as meetings, seminars, congresses, conferences and anniversaries, with a maximum capacity of 1,500 people. The structure also has a 19th century garden, "The Wintergarden", which has been the scene of many weddings.
The restaurant will be headed by three Michelin-starred chef Jacob Jan Boerma. "The White Room” will offer its guests a refined and contemporary cuisine, based exclusively on local products. Guests will also be able to visit a traditional restaurant, Grand Café Krasnapolsky, which will offer a prime view of Dam Square. The Tailor will be the award-winning bar, offering a range of bespoke cocktails. The hotel will feature a spa with an interior design using natural stone and wood. The spa will consist of three parts: a hammam, a spa and an infrared spa.
