Located on the Philippine Island of Cebu, the 195-room luxury hotel will be located within the business park of the island's main city and adds to the important pipeline of projects undertaken by the Accor group throughout the country.
The Sofitel Cebu City will include two restaurants and a rooftop, a business centre, a fitness area, a swimming pool and a spa, as well as meeting rooms and ballrooms. The hotel will occupy floors 14 to 32 of the future Masters Tower Cebu, a mixed-use tower designed by the Skidmore, Owings & Merrill architectural firm, which is scheduled for completion in 2025 and will also provide office and retail space.
"We are extremely pleased to expand our presence in Cebu with the signing of the Sofitel Cebu City. The commitment of our partners to a long-term partnership with Accor in these challenging times demonstrates their confidence in our group, the popularity of our brands in different segments, our reputation for operational excellence and our relationship-based approach and flexibility towards owners and investors," said Garth Simmons, Accor's Managing Director, South East Asia, Japan and South Korea.
Jose Soberano III, CEO of Cebu Landmasters, said:
