Owned by Hunan Yunda Industry Group, W Changsha is the first W Hotel in central China and is located in the heart of the city's business and shopping district. The hotel reflects a provocative and playful design inspired by space travel.
Easily accessible, W Changsha is a 30-minute drive from Changsha Huanghua International Airport, and a 15-minute drive from Changsha South Railway Station.
The hotel has been designed by Cheng Chung Design (H.K.) Ltd. In China, Changsha is also known as "Star City" and this name inspires the hotel's design, which features bold geometric patterns mixed with cutting-edge contemporary artwork. Whimsical artworks, such as the Schrodinger's Cat series and Zeta art installations, explore the mystery of the universe through the lens of the W, creating unexpected encounters in the hotel.
The hotel's 345 rooms and suites offer modern luxury and new technology amenities, with walls depicting planets, constellations and nebula discovery through a "meow eye cabin" LED screen emulating space exploration.
The hotel offers three restaurants and a bar with unlimited possibilities for organizing business and social meetings thanks to its 1,000 square meters of reception space divided into five modular rooms.
Guests can enjoy the reflection pool or the WET, a large pool featuring a 10-foot sculpture of a space cat. The fully equipped, 24/7 FIT Fitness Center offers strength training and cardio exercises, as well as dance classes to burn off calories before the party starts again.
W Changsha marks the eighth W Hotel to open in China, one of the most influential markets for both travel and business, and we are excited to bring W Hotels to other destinations across the country. Cities like Changsha, with their forward-looking residents and growing millennial luxury market that craves the new and unexpected, are playgrounds of unlimited possibilities for W.
