IHG Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of 12 new Vignette Collection hotels throughout the year 2024, beginning by the inauguration of The Halyard Liverpool, Vignette Collection.
The group unveiled the Vignette Collection brand in August 2021. The first property, Hotel X Brisbane Fortitude Valley, opened in December that year. Less than 3 years after there are already 11 Vignette Collection hotels open around the world, with a further 23 in the pipeline including 12 this year.
Vignette Collection is a unique portfolio of individual hotels and resorts, each with their own story to tell. This year, we are making significant strides towards our ambition to open 100 new Vignette Collection properties within the next 10 years. From indoor skiing in Shanghai to soaking up the cool culture in Liverpool, 2024 will see an exciting array of unique hotels and resorts joining Vignette Collection.

This wave of openings begins with The Halyard Liverpool, Vignette Collection which marks the inaugural UK opening for the lifestyle brand. Located in the Ropewalks district, the property stands on the footprint of former 18th Century rope-making warehouses. It features 133 rooms and the industrial interiors pay homage to the area’s dockland heritage.
The Dinso Resort & Villas Phuket, Vignette Collection also already opened its doors in the heart of the Thai city. Constructed with respect for its wilderness surroundings, the resorts hosts 26 hilltop duplex villas and 148 nature-immersed rooms and suites, each boasting a private pool offering views on an ancient Banyan trees and verdant greenery.
During spring, two hotels will grow the footprint of the brand in the Middle East through the opening of Arabella Beach Hotel, Vignette Collection in Kuwait and Velero Doha, Vignette Collection in Katar. The first one will offer 195 rooms and suites and will be situated between desert dunes and the Arabian Gulf shoreline. The second property will features presidential suites, several restaurants, a lounge, a spa, hair salon, two ballrooms, together with a fitness and wellness centre and an infinity pool.
In summer, the brand will debut in Budapest with the inauguration of Verno House, Vignette Collection. The hotel will present feature 50 rooms, and the global design will evoking the idea of 19th century Budapest. Facilities also include a restaurant, a library room which can be used as a flexible meeting space, and a wellness area and gym.
From autumn, the expansion will be focused on the Asian continent with the opening of 7 additional hotels. Including Shanghai Snow World Hotel, Vignette Collection that will offer 272 rooms and 17 suites with direct access to the ski-slopes. The brand will then land in Indonesia with the opening of Rumah Luwih Bali, Vignette Collection, a 75-room hotel taking place a colonial style Indonesian mansion restyled.
In December, it will debut in Thailand after the renovation of the former Emerald Resort Koh Chang which will reopen under the name Dinso Resort & Villas Koh Chang, Vignette Collection. The property will offer 166 rooms as well as 13 villas that come with their own private pool. Facilities include three restaurants and bars including a beach club, a swimming pool, spa and fitness facilities.
Vignette Collection will also welcome a further four properties to its China portfolio in 2024 : Heibei Grand Hotel, Hangzhou Huaxia Center Hotel, The Xanadu Guangzhou and WM Hotel.
