The hosting of the Football World Cup in Qatar this year seems to be boosting the development of the destination's hospitality portfolio with the arrival of various major hotel brands, thus reinforcing the country's accommodation capacity as well as its tourism activity.

The luxury hotels Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha have opened their doors in Qatar and are exclusively hosting guests of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar and the VIP delegation. Both are located in the Katara Towers.

The 132-room Raffles Doha is billed as the only all-suite hotel in Qatar. Each suite comes with a personalised butler service and bespoke amenities, including an exclusive Frederic Malle fragrance, a wall gallery with a collection of selected books and a boutique.

The hotel is also home to nine spa and fitness suites, each equipped with treatment rooms, and some with private outdoor terraces and infinity pools, as well as the Katara Hall, a ballroom.

The Fairmont Doha offers 270 rooms, 92 suites, four themed suites and a presidential suite, all inspired by the interiors of luxury yachts, as well as an exclusive floor, the Fairmont Gold, which is a hotel within a hotel. The rooms are spacious and have separate bathrooms and a large furnished terrace with panoramic views of the coastline.

Seven F&B outlets have been opened to the public, four at Raffles Doha and three at Fairmont Doha. FIFA fans and members can enjoy dining experiences at Raffles Doha's Alba, L'Artisan, Blue Cigar, Malaki Lounge, Masala Library, Vaya and the Dome.
