A new boutique hotel will be built in Formentera by June 2023 and the property will be managed by Universel Beach Hotels, which already operates 17 hotels in Majorca.
Work on the new boutique hotel began at the end of October and it is scheduled to open in June 2023. It will feature a characteristic Formentera design, integrated with the natural environment, with a structure made of wood and natural materials.
The property will have 31 suites ranging in size from 40 to 60 square metres, all of which will have a private pool or rooftop Jacuzzi. The offer is complemented by a pool with Balinese beds and a pool bar, offering live music and DJ nights, as well as an outdoor gymnasium designed, among other things, to host events and private parties.
As for its location, it is just a few metres from the beach and the centre of Es Pujols, an area where guests can also find a wide range of leisure activities, bars, restaurants and beach clubs.
A project that is part of the group's new strategic plan, which foresees the investment of 40 million euros, over a period of three years, with an expansion focused on the Balearic Islands. The project includes a new corporate image, a rebranding with the addition of Beach to the name to emphasise the location of the hotels, and the repositioning of assets, with a reinforced sustainability policy.
Universal Beach Hotels recently announced that 2023 will be full of new projects. The Universal Hotel Aquamarin in Sant Elm will become a 4-star boutique hotel with the essence of a Beach Club, the Universal Hotel Lido Park will add a spa to the property to enhance the winter season and the Universal Grand León & Spa will become the chain's first 5-star hotel.
