InterContinental Hotels & Resorts just announced the opening of a dual-branded property in Poland’s capital: the Crowne Plaza Warsaw – The HUB of 212 rooms and suites and the Holiday Inn Express Warsaw -The HUB with 218 rooms.
Both hotels are opening at the heart of the HUB or Rondo Daszyńskiego, the new dynamic business district in Warsaw where new office buildings should open in the next years. Furthermore, Warsaw’s city centre already hosts several major companies, such as BOŚ, Euro Bank, Orange, Semper, PZU, Apexnet and PWC, located close to the new hotels. In addition, the property will be easily accessible through tramway and buses, by car and by train, as the Central railway station is located 2 kilometres away from it. The Warsaw Chopin airport is 20-minute drive away from the hotels.
The Crowne Plaza Warsaw – The HUB hotel is the first hotel of the brand to establish in Poland and will particularly answer to business travellers’ needs. The hotel is equipped with a Club Lounge which offers Club guests a flexible space to work or relax and 30 meeting rooms that can accommodate up to 700 people. Furthermore, the hotel provides two onsite restaurants, the Signature Bar in the lobby area is an all-day dining restaurant featuring a sustainably sourced menu with local produce, including a breakfast and lunch menu and Nova Wola restaurant offering a nice view on the city, and modern cuisine inspired by traditional Polish food. Located on the 21st floor of the property, the Roof Sky Bar offers a panoramic view on the city.
The Holiday Inn Express Warsaw -The HUB provides modern air-conditioned rooms with black out curtains, high-quality bedding, a power shower, and free high-speed Wi-Fi. The rooms are also fitted with a flexible workspace, flat screen TV and ergonomically designed chairs. Marcin Szymfel, General Manager of Crowne Plaza Warsaw – The HUB and Holiday Inn Express Warsaw – The HUB, commented:
"These have been long-awaited openings and will be a great addition to the IHG portfolio in Poland but also to The HUB Business district. As the first Crowne Plaza in market, we are setting the bar high when it comes to offering guests a sophisticated and premium accommodation with high class facilities to stay and work at. We are really proud of the work that has happened over the last few months and are confident that guests will be able to find the accommodation that best suits them, whether that be at the Crowne Plaza or the Holiday Inn Express, which has been designed for those savvy travellers looking for accommodation that has everything they need and nothing they don't need. Guests staying at the Holiday Inn Express will also have access to the facilities and amenities at the Crowne Plaza."
In 2019, hotels in Warsaw recorded an occupancy rate of approximatively 75,4% which slightly decrease by 0,5 point compared to 2018. This evolution could be explained by a few hotels’ openings since 2018.
