Tivoli Hotels & Resorts continues its expansion in Europe in 2023, the year it celebrates its 90th anniversary, and announces the brand's debut in Holland with the opening of Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam.
Located in the city centre near the canals, the Tivoli Doelen Amsterdam Hotel is due to open in March and will bring its cultural heritage to the city and try to make an authentic connection with it as it does wherever it is located.
The historic property on the banks of the Amstel River is a well-known building in the city, with roots dating back to the 16th century when military aristocrats occupied it. It is also the oldest hotel in Amsterdam.
The property has 81 rooms in categories ranging from superior rooms to suites. The rooms are classically decorated and offer beautiful views of the famous Amsterdam canal.
At the Tivoli Doelen, the lounge area and bar will offer a wide selection of local gins and liquors. Due to the hotel's close connection to the Dutch painter Rembrandt Van Rijn, herbs and essences from his era will be the stars of the Omber restaurant.
The painter Rembrandt Van Rijn was a neighbour of the hotel and his masterpiece, The Night Watch, hung on the walls of the hotel. In collaboration with a Rembrandt expert and Het Rembrandthuis, a new art experience will be developed on site.
We are delighted that we will soon become the newest member of the Tivoli brand. This historic boutique hotel will be a perfect addition to the Tivoli portfolio, a property where the brand's expertise meets Amsterdam's local inspiration in customer experience and gastronomy.
