The Social Hub, a hybrid hospitality brand, continues its rapid expansion across Europe with the opening of three new hubs in early 2025 in Porto, Florence, and Rome. This development will bring the brand’s total to 21 hubs across 19 major European cities, including popular destinations like Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Paris.

The first foray of The Social Hub into Portugal will take place in Porto, where the hub will be located in the city’s historic center. It will also be the brand’s first property to offer long-term apartments, adding a new dimension to its hybrid model, which combines accommodation, coworking, and relaxation spaces. This Porto project is part of a broader expansion strategy, with a future opening planned for Lisbon.

In Italy, The Social Hub strengthens its presence with two new four-star hubs, one in Florence and the other in Rome. These properties aim to enrich the community dynamic by transforming underused spaces into gathering places for locals, students, and travelers.

The Social Hub Florence Belfiore, set to open in February 2025, will be located in the San Jacopino neighborhood. With its 550 rooms and 80,000 sqm of space, it will include coworking spaces, a restaurant, a bar, a rooftop pool, and a 7,000 sqm public park, providing a relaxing space for both locals and visitors.

The Social Hub Rome, opening in March 2025, will be located in the lively San Lorenzo district, known for its dynamic atmosphere and proximity to universities. This 24,000 sqm hub will offer 392 rooms, modern coworking spaces, meeting rooms, a bar, and a rooftop pool with views over the city. A 10,000 sqm public park connecting the different areas of the hub will enhance the integration of the site into the local community.

The Social Hub Porto will also open in spring 2025, in the lively Bonjardim district, close to the University of Porto and the city’s creative business district. This 310-room hub will feature several coworking spaces, a bar, a rooftop pool, and meeting rooms. For the first time, The Social Hub will offer long-term residential apartments, with 39 fully furnished units available for rent to meet the needs of those looking for extended stays.

“These openings in Rome, Florence, and Porto are key moments for our brand. They represent valuable additions to the local communities and will provide unique hybrid hospitality experiences for travelers, students, professionals, and residents,” said Marion Koopman, Chief Operations and Commercial Officer at The Social Hub.

As part of its community engagement, The Social Hub organizes events that bring people together and supports social initiatives through the TSH Talent Foundation, which allocates 1% of its global revenue to help people facing barriers by offering scholarships and personal development programs.
