Sercotel Hotels continues its expansion in Spain with the announcement of four new hotel projects planned for 2025 and 2026. These new openings will include two additional hotels in Valencia, the chain's first property in Alicante, and a third hotel in Malaga.

Expansion in the Valencia Community

With these new openings, Sercotel is strengthening its presence in the Valencian Community, bringing the total number of hotels in this region to ten. In Valencia, two new four-star hotels will be located in the city centre. The first, in Plaza Santa Mónica, will have 70 rooms and a rooftop swimming pool, and is scheduled to open in 2026. The second hotel, scheduled to open in 2025, will be located on Calle Jesús and will have 75 rooms close to the main tourist attractions. These projects are in addition to another hotel under construction on Avenida Gran Vía Marqués del Turia, which will open in 2024 with 85 rooms and a skybar.

In Alicante, Sercotel will open its first hotel in the city on Calle Doctor Just, close to the AVE train station. This four-star hotel will have 72 rooms and 200 square metre lounges for hosting events, and is due to open in 2026.

New project in Malaga

In Andalusia, Sercotel will open a third hotel in Malaga, located in Calle Pepita Barrientos, near the Palacio de Deportes José María Martín Carpena. This three-star hotel will have 105 rooms, several event rooms and a car park, and is scheduled to open in 2026. It will join the existing Sercotel Rosaleda Málaga and Sercotel Tribuna Málaga hotels, bringing the total number of the chain's establishments in Andalusia to fourteen.

‘We are very pleased to give further impetus to the company's expansion plan with the addition of these new properties, which will enable us to grow in three major national destinations such as Valencia, Malaga and Alicante. The future opening of these hotels in two growing regions underlines our confidence in their potential and our commitment to contributing to the tourism and economic development of both communities.’ - José Rodríguez, CEO of Sercotel

Sercotel currently manages a portfolio of 90 hotels in Spain and Andorra, including directly managed, franchised and leased properties. The chain continues to invest in construction projects, with nine new hotels under development. Sercotel, under the management of José Rodríguez Pousa and part of the Landon Corporate Group, continues to distinguish itself as a benchmark in the Spanish hotel industry, combining hotel management with international expansion.
