Ruby Hotels, the Munich-based hotel group headed by Michael Struck, is accelerating its growth and introducing its 'Lean Luxury' concept to Marseille, France in collaboration with BNP Paribas Real Estate, the real estate arm of the BNP Paribas Group.
Located on Boulevard des Dames, just a stone's throw from the Vieux Port and the beaches, the hotel will offer 237 rooms, a dedicated co-working space, a 24-hour bar and a 300 m2 rooftop terrace with views over the city and the sea. It will offer convenient access to all the city's cultural and tourist attractions.
The future Ruby Hotel will be housed in a former office building, demonstrating the Munich-based group's expertise in the successful transformation of buildings, a factor that attracted the attention of BNP Paribas Real Estate. This significant partnership reflects the strong interest shown by major players in the French investment market in Ruby Hotels' 'Lean Luxury' philosophy, a concept that is set to be a great success in France.
The hotel is scheduled to open in late 2025.
"France has always been a priority for the Ruby Hotels brand, and we are delighted that Marseille is the first French destination to welcome it. The city has a thriving dynamic based on strong demand for business and leisure travel, and represents huge potential to roll out our concept" - Julian Mörs, Group Development Director, Ruby Hotels.
"BNP Paribas Real Estate has been looking at developing hotel projects with Ruby Hotels for several years, mainly conversions of existing assets with a low carbon footprint, and we are very pleased that everything is in place for the opening of the Ruby Hotel in Marseille. Their technical expertise, professionalism, responsiveness and commitment make them an ideal partner. Other projects are in the pipeline..." - Antoine Mabilon, Deputy Managing Director of BNP Real Estate Propery Development
