The Munich-based group Ruby Hotels is opening its first Lean Luxury Hotel in France in the center of Marseille by the end of 2025, marking the expansion of the company on a new market.
Located just a few minutes from the coast, on the Boulevard des Dames, the new hotel will be realized in a former office building and will feature 237 rooms.
The property will also offer a 24/7 bar with an adjoining 300 m² roof terrace with views over the city and the sea as well as a private work space.
Ruby Hotels works hand in hand with BNP Paribas Real Estate to develop this project. Indeed, the investment player “has been exploring hotel projects - typically low-carbon conversions of existing assets - with Ruby Hotels for several years”.
Thanks to its location in the city center of Marseille, between the old port and the business district of La Joliette/Euroméditerranée, as well as its proximity to the charming old quarter of Le Panier, all the cultural and tourist highlights of the city are within easy reach.
France has always been an important target for Ruby and we are very pleased that Marseille will be the first French destination for our brand. The city offers a thriving hotel market with strong demand for both business travel and leisure travel, and thus offers enormous potential for our concept.
