Rosewood Hotels and Resorts, in partnership with real estate developer Qatari Diar announced the brand’s second London property, The Chancery Rosewood, set to open in 2024 in the Mayfair district in London.
Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, which currently manages 27 luxury properties in 16 countries with a further 21 hotels under development, has announced that its second hotel in London will be sheltered in the former United States Embassy and will be named The Chancery Rosewood.
The name pays homage to the building’s storied past and lasting legacy. Originally built by architect Eero Saarinen in 1960, the mid-twentieth century Mayfair landmark previously housed the United States embassy and was the first purpose-built chancery in London.
It will showcase architecture restoration by British architect Sir David Chipperfield of David Chipperfield Architects and interiors by French architect Joseph Dirand.

The Hotel will include 139 guestrooms and suites designed by Joseph Dirand, publicly accessible spaces including a Yabu Pushelberg designed Asaya integrative wellness facility, five flagship retail spaces and a grand ballroom with space for up to 750 guests. The designers behind additional F&B outlets will include Tristan Auer and Bar Studio.
The Chancery Rosewood will mark Rosewood Hotels & Resorts’ second property in London and sixth in Europe.
