Rocco Forte Hotels has announced the opening of Rocco Forte House Milan, scheduled for 29 August 2024. Located on Via Manzoni, in the heart of Milan, this new residence offers 11 flats.
Inspired by the model of Rocco Forte House Rome, this residence brings to Milan for the first time a concept of private residence, combined with the hospitality characteristic of Rocco Forte Hotels. The flats were designed by Olga Polizzi, Design Director, in collaboration with designers Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, blending contemporary Italian style with classic elements.
Housed in a 19th-century palazzo, the flats overlook a traditional Milanese courtyard. The building retains some original features, such as stucco and frescoes, particularly visible on the Noble Floor, while the top-floor flats feature modern windows and terraces.
The residences, named after the Brera, Duomo, Isola and Tortona districts, come with a range of services, including a concierge, valet parking, a private chef and a gym reserved for residents.
Rocco Forte Hotels, founded in 1996 by Sir Rocco Forte and Olga Polizzi, currently manages 14 hotels across Europe, including properties in Rome, Florence, London, Munich and Brussels. With the opening of Rocco Forte House Milan in 2024, and the Carlton in Milan in 2025, the group continues to expand, with further projects planned for Naples and Sardinia, and now has a total of 9 establishments in Italy.
"We are thrilled to open Rocco Forte House Milan introducing a new concept to the city, that combines the intimacy of a private home with the service Rocco Forte Hotels is known for. Following the great success of Rocco Forte House Rome, and in response to the market's desire for residence-style living, the one, two and three bedroom apartments, allow guests to prioritise privacy without compromising on their experience." - Charles Forte, Director of Development and New Acquisitions
“Rocco Forte House Milan is a collection of stunning apartments right in the centre of the city. In collaboration with Philip Vergeylen and Paolo Moschino, we created a design that blends elegant Milanese style with the comfort and warmth one would expect in a home. The residences embody the true sense of Milan through the architecture and design, which is a complete mix of old and new. The magnificent building is classical 19th century, yet we have used contemporary elements throughout, keeping the building’s past alive through the frescos and fireplace features. I always enjoy collaborating with Paolo & Philip, who we have worked with on many occasions - they understand that comfort is as important as interesting design." - Olga Polizzi
