Minor Hotels will add Seven Properties by Mid-2024. In Europe, Avani will debut in Spain and Italy in June, followed by Germany later in 2023 and the Netherlands in 2024. In Latin America, Avani will expand into Mexico and Colombia later this year.

Minor Hotels has announced the expansion of its lifestyle brand targeting millennial-minded travelers in Europe: Avani Hotels & Resorts. As part of a strategic expansion of the brand into new regions, Avani will add five properties in key European cities - one in Spain, two in Italy, one in Germany and, next year, one in the Netherlands. Along with the European expansion, Avani will also launch in Central and South America, with hotels opening in Mexico and Colombia.

The first of these strategic additions will see Avani debut in Spain in June, with the rebranded Avani Alonso Martínez Madrid hotel, which will have 101 keys. In Italy, the brand will launch with the rebranding of two hotels - first the 65-key Avani Palazzo Moscova hotel in Milan in June, followed by the 144-key Avani Rio Novo hotel in Venice over the summer. Later this year, Avani will also make its debut in Germany with the new 256-key Avani Frankfurt City Hotel.

Also in Europe, Avani will enter the Netherlands in 2024 with the launch of a 163-key hotel in Amsterdam: the new Avani Museum Quarter Amsterdam hotel, located in one of the Dutch capital's most vibrant neighborhoods, will join the brand's portfolio in the second quarter of next year.

The company is also preparing to introduce the brand in Latin America, where two additions to the Avani portfolio are planned for later this year with two rebranded properties. Regional operations will begin in one of Central America's top tourist destinations with the launch of the 140-key Avani Cancun Airport Hotel in Mexico in the third quarter, followed in the fourth quarter by the 66-key Avani Royal Zona T Bogota Hotel in Colombia.

According to Dillip Rajakarier, CEO of Minor Hotels, the expansion of the Avani brand in Europe and Latin America reflects the group's strategy to continue to expand and diversify its hotel offering in the upscale tourism segment:

"Avani is now an established brand in Asia, Africa and the Middle East, known for its value proposition, design philosophy and unique service offering. The work we've done over the past few years has prepared us to strategically engage in expanding Avani's footprint into new operating regions and marks an important milestone for Minor Hotels."
