ME by Meliá, the premium brand of Meliá Hotels International, announces the opening of its first hotel in Malta, ME Malta. Located in a 20-story building designed by architect Zaha Hadid, the hotel offers 113 rooms, including 27 suites and 35 residences.
The establishment, which aims to be a cultural and social hub, emphasizes modern and avant-garde design. It features event facilities, including three meeting spaces called "Thinking Labs." Additionally, it is part of ME by Meliá’s Culture Collective program, which offers cultural events such as exhibitions by local artists and live music performances.
The Cabana Club, a rooftop pool club, is one of the hotel’s standout features. It offers panoramic views of St. Julian’s rocky coastline and provides a Mediterranean culinary experience. A restaurant, Luciano, led by chef Gino D'Acampo, will open soon, showcasing Italian cuisine.
The Radio Rooftop bar, slated to open in early 2025, will also be a vibrant space offering shareable Asian dishes and cocktails, accompanied by live music performances and views of the Mediterranean Sea.
The hotel will also include a spa offering wellness treatments that combine traditional practices with modern technologies, as well as a state-of-the-art gym.
ME by Meliá continues to expand in strategic European destinations with properties such as ME London, ME Milan Il Duca, ME Barcelona, ME Cabo, ME Ibiza, ME Sitges Terramar, ME Dubai, and ME Madrid Reina Victoria. This project is part of a strategy to strengthen the brand's presence in cultural capitals and key destinations for high-end travelers.
