Marriott International, Inc. has recently announced an agreement with Vasilakis SA to introduce the JW Marriott brand to Greece. Set to open in 2025, the JW Marriott Crete Resort & Spa will cover 100 acres of coastal land.
Vasilakis SA and Marriott International are teaming up with SWOT Hospitality, which will be the third-party operator for the franchised property.

The property, which will be designed by Block722 will boast 160 guestrooms. Moreover, all suites and villas will include private pools or jacuzzis. Concerning the amenities, the resort will offer wellness spaces like the JW Garden and five culinary venues, including a traditional Cretan restaurant and beachside dining options. Furthermore, the resort will boast a beach club, a fitness center, swimming pools and a spa and Family by JW experiences.

Situated on Marathi Beach, near Chania, the resort will provide access to the region's natural attractions. The property will also be located near Chania Airport and Heraklion International Airport, ensuring easy access for travelers.
