Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra

Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will make its debut in Mallorca with the management of the Punta Negra beachfront hotel which will open in the second half of 2024.

Bought by Blasson Property in November 2021, the former 4-star H10 Punta Negra hotel will reopen as a 5-star luxury hotel under the name Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra, Mallorca.

The resort will be spread over 3 hectares of cliffs and landscaped gardens and will have 137 rooms, suites and bungalows, with access to two coves. The accommodation will have sea views and outdoor terraces or balconies, some with private panoramic pools.

It will also have three swimming pools, a spa, a restaurant with panoramic views, a lounge bar, a chill out cocktail bar, indoor and outdoor event spaces and a kids club.

The resort's new design is by HKS, Estudio Lamela, an award-winning and environmentally conscious Spanish architectural firm, while the interior design, which draws on many local cultural references, is overseen by designer Laura Gonzalez.

The property is ideally located in Calvià, one of the island's most exclusive communities, and close to key attractions such as the port of Portals, the historic sites of the capital Palma de Mallorca and the international airport.

We are delighted with this opportunity to bring Mandarin Oriental's legendary service to this extraordinary Balearic resort. We look forward to working with Blasson Property Investments to develop a luxury hotel that will be designed and built with sustainability in mind.

James Riley, CEO, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group
