Mama Shelter has announced the future opening of its second property in Los Angeles.
Mama Shelter Downtown LA will open its doors in 2026 in the Mart South Building in the city’s Downtown neighbourhood. The lifestyle hotel is set to boast 149 keys (145 standard rooms and four suites).
The property’s F&B offer will consist of three outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant and café and a rooftop bar and terrace offering views over LA.
Mama Shelter Downtown LA’s additional amenities will include an on-site fitness centre and parking garage.
Situated in Downtown, the hotel will offer guests easy access to notable attractions, such as the Fashion District, California Market Center, the Los Angeles Flower District, and Santee Alley.
The opening comes on the back of the success that the brand’s first property, Mama Shelter LA, situated in Hollywood, has met since its opening in 2015.
Mama Shelter currently has a strong international collection of 17 hotels. For the coming years, the brand has announced slated openings for Dubai, Nice, Medellin, Zurich, Casablanca, and Singapore. Its stated ambition is to arrive at a portfolio of 50 hotels worldwide.
