Located on the Costa Smeralda in Sardinia, the Hotel Pitrizza has recently joined LVMH Hotel Management, marking the beginning of its transformation planned for 2026 and will become Cheval Blanc Pitrizza under the Cheval Blanc brand.
Built in the 1960s by architect Luigi Vietti, Hotel Pitrizza is a tribute to Mediterranean culture. It combines a modernist approach to architecture with the use of local techniques and materials, such as granite, terracotta and dark woods.
With the Cheval Blanc brand, LVMH Hotel Management is developing a collection of luxury hotels. The first, Cheval Blanc Courchevel, opened in 2006 in the heart of the French Alps. The second, Cheval Blanc Randheli, followed in autumn 2013 in the Maldives. The brand continued its expansion with the opening of Cheval Blanc St-Barth in the Caribbean in October 2014, followed by the acquisition of Résidence de la Pinède in 2016, which became Cheval Blanc St-Tropez in May 2019. Cheval Blanc Paris, located within the Samaritaine, opened in September 2021. Future projects are underway, notably in the Seychelles.
LVMH Hotel Management also manages the White 1921 Courchevel and the White 1921 Saint-Tropez.
The Belmond brand portfolio comprises 47 luxury properties spread over 24 countries in Europe (14), North America (5), South America (8), Asia (4) and Africa (1).
