JW Marriott has announced the opening of its latest luxury hotel in Turkey, the JW Marriott Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea.
The hotel’s design, inspired by its setting, comes courtesy of interior design agency KCA International. It features a flying carpet art installation in the lobby, lighting by artist Khuan Chew, tranquillity pools and secluded garden spaces.
It boasts 204 guest rooms and suites across 17 floors with balconies offering views across the Sea of Marmara or the Istanbul skyline. Rooms and suites are equipped with marble bathrooms, flat-screen TVs, separate living and working areas as well as smart lighting. The hotel’s Signature and Presidential suites further offer terrace jacuzzies and music sound systems.
The restaurant provides Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, South-East Asian and fusion dishes to guests and has a brick oven centrepiece. Four bars also provide guests with drinks, cocktails and light snacks in the hotel, on its terrace and by the pool.
Michelin-starred chef Akira Back has been recruited by JW Marriott Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea in order to introduce his innovative Japanese cuisine to Istanbul this summer.
Guest well-being is central to the hotel’s purpose, and Serene Spaces are dotted throughout it in order to boost guest relaxation and mindfulness. Swiss beauty line La Vallée has designed a spa as well as a fitness and wellness centre to provide treatments, yoga sessions and activities.
The hotel hosts corporate events, weddings and social functions in its 23,000 square feet of event space. It features meeting rooms, visual facilities, a ballroom and a 24-hour business centre.
The hotel complex includes 11 high-end boutiques and is also situated near three large shopping malls. Located in Ataköy, a short drive from the very heart of old Istanbul, the hotel’s guests will also be able to take in the sights of the Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace, Galata Port and Taksim Square.
With breath-taking views and exhilarating activities for travel enthusiasts, JW Marriott Hotel Istanbul Marmara Sea is ideal for guests seeking to enjoy meaningful moments as they explore this historic destination.
