Friday 29 April 2022 marks the opening of the Iberostar Cala Domingos hotel on the island of Majorca.
The hotel was originally scheduled to open in 2020, but the pandemic changed the Spanish hospitality group's plans. The asset, which has been owned for six years by Silicius, "has been renovated in two phases over the last two winters" in order to offer a more upmarket product that respects the surrounding ecosystem.
Iberostar Cala Domingos is a 350-room, four-star beachfront resort, offering guests "an immersive experience in nature".
The resort consists mainly of bungalow-style cottages, has three swimming pools and is designed in a modern, residential Mediterranean style. Its three restaurants offer local produce, including responsibly caught fish and seafood.
The property also offers a wide range of leisure activities for adults and entertainment for children. In addition, the Star Camp activities for children "promote love for the oceans and the planet, one of the pillars of Iberostar".
The hotel has direct access to Cala Domingos, a beach with a natural cave, where snorkelling and scuba diving are possible. Guests can also take part in sports activities at the hotel's facilities, including petanque and beach volleyball, tennis, table tennis and mini-golf.
We are working to make the Balearic Islands a world leader in responsible tourism, caring for our environment and our people, always offering a quality product in the best locations. The opening of the Iberostar Cala Domingos demonstrates our commitment to this model of tourism, and consolidates our offer and commitment to Mallorca, a key destination for the company.
