Hyatt Hotels Corporation has opened Hyatt Centric Malta, marking the brand's entry into the country. Located in St. Julian's, the 170-room hotel is the seventh Hyatt Centric property in Europe, underlining the group's rapid expansion in the Mediterranean region, where it now has more than 80 hotels across its 13 brands.
Hyatt Centric Malta is situated in St. Julian’s, just 11 km from Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The hotel’s interior design draws inspiration from Malta’s history and traditions, with rooms featuring elements reflecting local culture, including blue doors adorned with bronze and natural hues reminiscent of the island’s landscapes.
The hotel’s restaurant, JUMU, offers an immersive experience of Maltese cuisine, featuring a reimagined menu of traditional island dishes, such as “il-tarja moqlija” and “torta tal laham.”
The hotel also emphasizes well-being, with a rooftop pool and a wellness center that includes an indoor pool, Finnish sauna, and a fully equipped gym. Additionally, Hyatt Centric Malta offers 168 square meters of event and meeting space.
The opening of Hyatt Centric Malta marks a new milestone in the brand’s expansion across Europe, particularly in the growing Mediterranean destinations sector for Hyatt.
