The creators of award-winning Andalusian hideaway, Finca Cortesin to unveil an Island Idyll reborn - Son Net - Puigpunyent, Mallorca debuting Spring 2023.
Close to Palma in the foothills of the UNESCO World Heritage Tramuntana Mountains, is Son Net, a new hospitality project on a private Majorcan estate dating back to 1672.
The property is today newly independently co-owned and under the acclaimed management of the team behind Finca Cortesin and is being meticulously restored to re-emerge in early Spring 2023.
Over centuries, this Majorcan manor house was passed down through the hands of several prominent Spanish families and became one of the most prestigious residential estates on the island.
With just 31 suites, upon reopening, Son Net will feature preserve many of the mansion's original features, such as carved wooden ceilings, antique fireplaces, an original 17th century interior courtyard, and private family chapel. There will also be a curated private art collection.
Spanning 57,000m2 of private landscape, there will be multiple pools flanked by private shaded cabanas, encircled by lawns and flowerbeds that give way to an ecological vegetable and herb garden, small farm, and private vineyard.
Food will all be locally sourced, with native orange and lemon trees growing on the estate, fresh seafood procured directly from the island, and fresh olive oil tastings from a century-old olive press.
The hotel's setting in the Tramuntana Mountains is one of the main attractions and forms a perfect getaway for walkers and hikers.
