Danish property manager Core Hospitality has signed an agreement with Marriott International to open the first Fairfield by Marriott branded property in Denmark, which will also be the first address in Europe. Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn is scheduled to open in 2023.

The future Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn hotel, scheduled to open in 2023, will offer a 222-room complex designed for the European market, with architecture and décor influenced by Scandinavian aesthetics. The hotel will be built in a shared complex with a Residence Inn by Marriott featuring 95 serviced appartments. Guests of both properties will also have access to a private lounge area, fitness facilities and bike rental during their stay.

The opening of the Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn is the first introduction in Europe of this brand developed by Marriott International, which until now has concentrated its development mainly in North America and Asia. In total, the group currently has 1,222 Fairfield by Marriott locations. The future Copenhagen hotel will be located in the northern harbour district of the Danish capital, within a waterfront building designed by Henning Larsen Architects.

The hotel will also be designed and managed according to eco-friendly principles such as those laid down in the DGNB (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen Gold grade, a label specific to the field of ecoconstruction) and Green Key International labels. In the present state of the market, these two awards will make Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn one of the most advanced hotels in terms of sustainable management in its immediate environment.
