Announced in 2021, and after several delays, Dubai’s first and only Dorchester Collection hotel, called The Lana, should finally open its doors in February 2024.
The Lana will be developed and owned by the Omniyat Holdings, a real estate major that also owns the ME Dubai hotel operated by Melia.
The property will feature 225 rooms and suites as well as seven restaurants and a rooftop swimming pool with panoramic views of the city. Furthermore, the hotel is connected to a residential tower, which includes 39 serviced apartments.
The Lana will be the Dorchester Collection’s first hotel in the region, joining a collection of 10 properties such as Hotel Eden in Rome, The Beverly Hills Hotel in Los Angeles and The Dorchester in London.
When we were evaluating the right high-end brand to satisfy our consumers’ uber luxury aspiration, the Dorchester came to mind. They have been delivering high level of sophisticated hospitality since the 1930s but at the same time they had a very limited exclusive collection globally. We are trying to identify other regional and global destinations that will work for this collaboration to expand into. What we have created together with the Dorchester collection is quite unique and it’s worthy of a global scale.
