The French budget hotel chain continues its development in Germany with the opening of a second hotel in Rostock on December 22.

The B&B Hotel Rostock City-West is located in Lübecker Road, near the Rostock Holbeinplatz train station, within walking distance of the Volkstheater Rostock and the historic old town. It provides103 single, double, and family rooms. The design of the rooms refers to the typical Rostock gabled houses

B&B Hotels was founded in Brest (France) in 1990 and has since expanded into several European countries with more than 500 hotels in its portfolio: 292 hotels in France and 137 hotels in Germany. It also has property in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Czech, Belgium, Austria, Poland, and Brazil.

B&B Hotels is one of Germany's biggest hotel chain groups by number of hotels. The first B&B Hotels in Germany was the B&B Hotel Ingolstadt, in 1998. During the following year, other property have opened in Hanover and Cologne (2000), Braunschweig, Leipzig and Würselen (2002), Bochum, Niederrad and Munich (2006)

The B&B Hotel Rostock City-West is the company's second hotel in Rostock, after the opening of the 140-rooms B&B Hotel Rostock-Hafen in December 2019.

Rostock is the third largest city on the German Baltic coast after Kiel and Lübeck, the eighth largest city in the area of former East Germany.
