The group is strengthening its presence in Portugal with the opening of two new hotels, one in Leiria and the other in Viana do Castelo.
The B&B HOTEL Leiria, located on Rua Carlos Leonel Sousa Caiado and promoted by Grupo Mais, and the B&B HOTEL Viana do Castelo, located on Estrada da Papanata 74 and promoted by Rendimo, offer 120 and 116 double and triple rooms respectively.
Both hotels are managed under the long-term guaranteed rental model, a key strategy of the B&B HOTELS asset light business model. This model enables the chain to maintain a sustained pace of growth and continue its rapid expansion in Iberia.
Accelerated growth in Iberia
These new openings are part of B&B HOTELS' ambitious growth strategy in Spain and Portugal. The chain recently inaugurated the B&B HOTEL Porto Gaia, which, with its 210 rooms, has become the group's largest establishment in Portugal. B&B HOTELS now has 49 hotels in Spain and 17 in Portugal, offering more than 5,000 rooms across the Iberian Peninsula.
B&B HOTELS Spain has obtained B Corp certification and is committed to a sustainable development strategy to 2030, focused on empowering people, positive environmental impact and sustainable innovation.
Under the leadership of Lucia Méndez-Bonito, CEO of B&B HOTELS, the company has doubled its turnover compared to 2019 and accelerated the opening of new hotels. Currently, 20 establishments are under construction, a figure that continues to grow every month, bringing B&B HOTELS closer to its ambitious goal of 200 hotels by 2030.
