Barceló Fortina Malta

The Barceló hotel group is opening its first hotel in Malta, the Barceló Fortina Malta. Managed by the chain, this 183-room establishment has undergone major renovations and has been upgraded to 5-star status.

Located on the Sliema waterfront, the Barceló Fortina Malta features contemporary architecture and breathtaking panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the walled city of Valletta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980.

The hotel features a wellness centre with a fitness room and heated indoor swimming pool, 2 restaurants and a lounge bar. There are also four meeting rooms for up to 250 people.

"Our agreement with Fortina Investments Limited stems from our extensive experience in managing urban beachfront hotels in various destinations around the world. Malta is an island that offers a remarkable tourism experience thanks to its rich history and cultural heritage. This new hotel will enable us to expand our presence in the Mediterranean, a strategically important region for the company's expansion plans." - Jose Canals, Regional Director for the Mediterranean, Middle East and Asia at Barceló Hotel Group
