Barceló Hotel Group has announced the forthcoming opening of the Palacio Gran Vía, a Royal Hideaway Hotel, a new 5-star property in Gran Lujo which will become the second Royal Hideaway in the province.

Owned by the Poyatos family and located on Gran Vía de Colón opposite Granada Cathedral, the property is a 38-room boutique hotel set in one of the most unique buildings in the city.

The Palacio Gran Vía, a Royal Hideaway hotel, has a rooftop bar, aquatic area, solarium, hammam with indoor pool, Turkish bath and massage service, and a full gym.

Antonio Poyatos, the hotel's owner, emphasised "the extensive experience of the Barceló Hotel Group in managing unique luxury hotels, highlighting the architectural and artistic heritage of the building, which will position the Palacio Gran Vía as a reference property at a national and international level".

The addition of this new property consolidates the presence of the brand in the province of Granada, where Barceló has been managing the emblematic La Bobadilla hotel, a Royal Hideaway, since 2004. The hotel's restaurant, La Finca, was awarded a Michelin star last year, the first to be awarded by the guide in the province of Granada.
