The collection of hotels, private homes and villas announces the transition from its current CEO, Frank Marrenbach, to Partner Director of Althoff Hotels, to Dr. Timo Gruenert, currently CFO and Co-Managing Director, who will take up his position on 1 May 2020.
Dr. Heino Schmidt, Chairman of the Board of Oetker Collection, said :
We are pleased to be able to arrange a transition from this management position with the appointment of Dr. Timo Gruenert, who joined the Oetker Group in 2005 and who founded Oetker Collection together with Mr. Marrenbach.
Dr. Timo Gruenert holds a doctorate from the University of Giessen with a thesis on mergers and acquisitions. He began his career as an assistant to Dr. August Oetker KG. He has worked alongside Frank Marrenbach since 2009.
Dr. Timo Gruenert commented on his appointment:
