Minor Hotels Europe & Americas, formerly known as NH Hotel Group, recently announced the appointment of Ana Muñoz Sánchez as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This appointment marks a strategic turning point for the hotel group, reinforcing its commitment to optimising its financial performance on a global scale.
Ana Muñoz Sánchez, who until now has held the position of Senior Vice President of Corporate Reporting and Financial Information, will be responsible for defining and implementing the company's financial strategy in more than thirty countries in Europe and America. Reporting directly to CEO Ramón Aragonés, she will also join the Executive Committee, playing a key role in strategic decision-making.
Prior to joining Minor Hotels in January of this year, Ana Muñoz Sánchez accumulated extensive experience in senior finance positions with multinationals and companies listed on the Ibex 35. Her career includes significant roles such as financial management at Laboratorios Farmacéuticos Rovi for four years. She was also National Financial Director for Iberia at Boston Scientific, a multinational biotechnology and biomedical engineering company, for five years. She also worked at Takeda Pharmaceuticals for eight years in various financial roles.
Ana Muñoz has a degree in Business Administration from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, specialising in auditing. In addition to her degree, she is a ROAC-certified auditor and has completed several management development programmes at IE University Business School.
