Joanna Chugh will be charged with overseeing and growing the group’s 60 managed hotels across the zone. Her remit covers brands such as JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels, Residence Inn and Autograph Collection.

A graduate of Shannon College of Hotel Management, Joanna Chugh first joined Marriott International in 1996 as the Rooms Service Manager at London Marriott Marble Arch. She started in a finance management role at the group in 2005 when she became London Cluster Director of Finance.

Over the following 17 years, Joanna Chugh has occupied various financial governance roles within the group’s European operations, including Area Director of Finance, Western Europe and Vice President Finance Operations Europe. Most recently she was Vice President of Finance Operations EMEA for nearly two years until her appointment as Area Vice President UK, Ireland and Nordics in May 2022.

With a career spanning several operational and financial leadership roles across multiple regions, [Joanna] brings extensive hospitality experience, strong relationships with our ownership community, and a comprehensive knowledge of hospitality.
