Belmond announced on February 22, 2021 the appointment of Karl Bieberach as Senior Vice President of international development as of March 22, 2021. He will be responsible for the international expansion of the company's portfolio of hotels, trains, river cruises and safari lodges.
Karl Bieberach has 25 years of experience in hotel and residential development, acquisitions as well as feasibility and investment analyses. He has held various management positions for hotel brands including Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Marriott International and HVS International and has worked around the world.
He was Director of Development at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts before joining Belmond.
