InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Karin Sheppard as Managing Director for its European business.

With more than 15 years of IHG experience and more than 20 years of international experience across technology, telecommunications and hospitality, Karin is responsible for driving the sustainable long term growth of IHG and the performance of its European hotels.

During her 15 years with IHG, Karin has held several senior roles in Europe, Australasia and the Middle East, spanning commercial, operations and brand development. Previous appointments include Chief Commercial Officer for Asia, Middle East and Africa, and Vice President, Brand Management for Europe, Middle East & Africa.

Karin Sheppard will be part of the hospitality leader’s panel during the next Global Lodging Forum.
