IHG announces two key appointments in the Americas

Jay Caiafa has been appointed Chief Operating Officer, Americas, while Brian Hicks has been named SVP, Commercial and Revenue Management for the Americas.

In his new role, Brian Hicks will lead the revenue management function and the sales team in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean. The new SVP will also be responsible for overseeing and integrating all revenue-generating strategies, initiatives, programs and plans to foster competitive business performance across the region. He has more than 30 years of international experience in the hospitality industry in his background, most of them with IHG. Brian Hicks has held various management positions at TMI Hospitality in the United States and others at the Ritz-Carlton properties.

For his part, Jay Caiafa has been with IHG since 2013 and has held several management positions within the company.  In his new capacity, he will lead the Americas operations management team, overseeing more than 4,000 IHG hotels in the United States and Canada, and will further strengthen and cultivate owner relationships. Prior to joining IHG, Mr. Caiafa also led teams at companies in a variety of industries.
