Clermont Hotel Group, one of the largest hotel owner-operator in London, has announced the appointment of Gavin Taylor as Chief Executive Officer.
Gavin Taylor started his career in the finance sector, working for Arthur Andersen, Noble Fund Managers and Ernest Young. He joined the hospitality industry in 2011 when he became Director of Prime Hotel Limited in the UK.
In the meantime, from 2006 to 2013, Gavin Taylor was appointed Partner of Addax Capital where he was responsible for all financial and operational aspects from start-up. In 2010, he joined Bulgari Hotels & Resorts as Board Finance Director.
Four years later, he was named Chief Financial Officer of Jupiter Hotels Limited, a company owned by a joint venture between Thailand-based Singha Estate Public Company Ltd and FICO Group. Jupiter Hotels operates hotels in the UK under a franchise agreement with Accor.
He finally joined Clermont Hotel Group in 2021, first as interim CEO before being appointed Chief Financial Officer, leading the group's finance, procurement and IT functions, and lately CEO.
As chief executive, he will oversee the group's growth strategy, with plans for further investment across the portfolio in the coming months, following an initial £18m refurbishment of the Clermont properties in Charing Cross and Victoria.
The past four years have been incredibly rewarding as we've seen the group go from strength to strength. It's a great honour to have the opportunity to take the reins as chief executive and lead our team on this exciting next step in the Clermont Hotel Group journey. I very much look forward to continue to ensure we deliver extraordinary experiences and services for our guests across our portfolio of 17 hotels in London.
