With a very dynamic year in 2022 in terms of performance but also expansion, easyHotel continues to expand its teams with the appointment of five new employees.
Five professionals are joining easyHotel with the aim of enabling the brand to seize development opportunities in 2023. The group is aiming to develop its portfolio, with 100 hotels targeted for 2026, to implement its low-carbon strategy and, finally, to strengthen its reputation on an international scale.
On the development side, Jacques Bonafé joins easyHotel as Director of Construction Europe. With 25 years of experience, he has previously worked for the ADP Group and Inter IKEA Group. He will be in charge of leading the decarbonisation strategy and the development of the new low-carbon room designed by Saguez & Partners.
Thomas Robet has been appointed Director of Development for France and Belgium. He has four years of experience as development director at Radisson Hotel Group and three years as associate director of CBRE's hotel operator division and three years of transaction consulting at JJL Hotels & Hospitality Group.
Guilain Madelpuech becomes development analyst. Formerly a hotel and real estate consultant for Deloitte for two years, Guilain's mission is to support the group in achieving its internal and external growth objectives.
On the digital side, Marylène Chevallier has become IT project manager for easyHotel. She has 20 years of digital project management and expertise in hotel operator infrastructures, including 15 years with Aparthotels Adagio. She will work on the development of a new digital strategy through the implementation of a new technology platform.
Finally, Daniel Thompson joins easyHotel as marketing director. Previously, he held similar roles with Paramount, FirstPort and Iceland Foods. He will be responsible for improving easyHotel's international awareness and brand recognition.
With the exception of Daniel Thompson, all of the new hires will be based in the newly opened Paris office to support the brand's roll-out across Europe. After the appointment of three Frenchmen to the management team in May: Gwenaëlle Pouy, Louis Poisson and Charles Persello, easyHotel is continuing to recruit new talent in France.
With above-market results and the expansion of our portfolio, 2022 has been a prolific year for our business. Since January 2023, the group has already announced the opening of a new hotel in Dublin. Further openings have been announced for the spring in Paris-Aubervilliers and Zurich. In order to keep up this pace, we are now counting on these new employees, whose experience and know-how will enable easyHotel to achieve its expansion targets. 2023 will be marked by further business development in Europe and a strong investment in low-carbon for our entire network.
