After the nomination of the new CEO Marcus Bernhardt, Deutsche Hospitality now also replaces its present CFO Matthias Heck.
The former Finance Director of Thomas Cook Group Airlines, Dr. Ulrich Johannwille, will become the new Chief Financial Officer and Labor Director of Steigenberger AG. He will take over the position on November 1 from Matthias Heck. This change completes the new management team as Marcus Bernhardt will replace Thomas Willms in his position as CEO.
André Witschi, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Steigenberger Hotels AG, declares:
For fifteen years, Matthias Heck has had a decisive influence on the success story of Deutsche Hospitality. I have the greatest respect for his remarkable achievements in an epoch in which a traditional German company has become an internationally known and renowned brand. At the same time, we are very much looking forward to welcoming Dr. Ulrich Johannwille in November as the new CFO and Labor Director of Deutsche Hospitality.
Dr. Johannwille brings many years of experience as CFO at Condor and has therefore exactly the expertise and leadership qualities needed to drive forward the next steps of Deutsche Hospitality in expansion, positioning and further development. He has held leading positions at Condor Flugdienst GmbH since 2006, including more than ten years as Chief Financial Officer and from 2006 to 2009 as Head of Controlling of the airline. From 2013 to 2019, he was further responsible for the financial divisions of the four international Thomas Cook Group airlines as Finance Director. Before joining Condor, Dr. Ulrich Johannwille worked for six years as a management consultant and most recently as Associate Principal. He completed his business administration studies at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster in 2000.
