Centara nominates a new Vice president of Business Development

The company announced the nomination of Allen Thomas as Vice president Business Development.

Under the leadership of Markland Blaiklock (Deputy Chief Executive), Allen Thomas will be charge of implementing a development plan for Centara Hotels & Resorts to grow from 58 to 134 hotels in five years. The company wants to double in size to become a major regional hotel brand.

Allen Thomas has worked for 28 years in hotel and resort development. His career includes positions at HPL, Como Hotels and most recently Resorts Holdings International.

Considering his expertise, Thirayuth Chirativat, CEO at Centara, is confident about "achieving the projected growth with a professional of Allen's caliber."

As of January 1, 2017, Centara Hotels & Resorts ranked 73rd hotel group worldwide with 65 properties for a total of more than 14,000 rooms, according to data published by Hospitality ON.
