ONYX Hospitality Group has made five key appointments to manage hotels in Thailand as part of its growth and expansion. These appointments will take effect September 1st, 2020.
ONYX Hospitality Group appoints Christoph Leonhard as the new GM of Oriental Residence Bangkok. He has gained experience with brands such as The Peninsula, St Regis and Accor.
Sukamal Mondal has been promoted to the position of Cluster General Manager for Shama Serviced Apartments' portfolio of four properties in Bangkok. A veteran of ONYX with over 14 years of experience in China and Thailand, Sukamal also served as General Manager of Oriental Residence Bangkok.
Thomas Hain takes over the management of Amari Vogue Krabi. With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Thomas joined ONYX in 2018 as Resident Manager of Amari Koh Samui and was then appointed General Manager of the group's two hotels on the island.
Paul Halford is appointed by the Cluster Group General Manager for Amari Koh Samui and OZO Chaweng Samui. In mid-2018, he joins ONYX Group after holding senior management positions with Radisson Hotel Group in Australia, Fiji and Thailand.
Richard Margo is appointed Managing Director of OZO Phuket. Eight years ago, he joined the group as Resident Manager of Amari Pattaya. He held positions at Le Meridien in Belgium, Ireland, Portugal and Jordan, as well as at the Hilton in Malaysia and Thailand.
