Oetker Collection has appointed Dr. Timo Gruenert as its new chief executive officer. He took over leadership of the company on May 1, 2020, succeeding Frank Marrenbach.
Timo Gruenert began his career with the Oetker Group as Assistant to the Managing Partner in 2005 after receiving his PhD from University of Giessen.
In 2009, he co-led the founding of Oetker Collection and has served as co-Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer ever since.
"It is a great honor to continue this journey initiated more than 10 years ago with Mr. Frank Marrenbach. Our main objective has always been to grow our brand with its exceptional hotels - true masterpieces - and whose main values are those of family, elegance and sincere kindness. I truly believe that this unique configuration gives us a legitimate place in the heart of today's hotel industry. Our company, its fabulous hotels and my dear hoteliers around the world hold a special place in my heart and I look forward to the next chapter. Together, we will continue to make history," Dr. Greunert said in an official release.
Oetker Collection’s portfolio includes Le Bristol Paris, Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes, Château Saint-Martin & Spa in Vence, L’Apogée Courchevel, The Lanesborough in London and Brenners Park Hotel & Spa in Baden-Baden, in addition to two properties in the Caribbean: Eden Rock - St Barths and Jumby Bay Island off the coast of Antigua and the Brazilian Grande Dame in Sao Paulo, Palácio Tangará.
