Choice Hotels International announced four leadership roles to advance the company's priorities and drive its growth.
In 2002, Scott Oaksmith joined Choice Hotels where he held a variety of positions within the company including Controller, Senior Vice President of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer.
Today, he has been appointed by the company as its new Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Finance, where he will be responsible for leading several strategic areas including real estate investment, asset management and the company's treasury operations.
Since joining Choice Hotels in 2017, Raul Ramirez has played an important role as vice president of strategic finance and financial planning and analysis.
Today, he has been promoted to Senior Vice President, International, Strategic and Financial Planning. He will lead all aspects of Choice's international division, including the development of global strategic direction and the expansion of the company's international operations.
Elizabeth Redmond joined the company in 2007 and has held a number of key positions in the finance department, including Vice President of Financial Reporting and Accounting.
Today, she has been promoted to Chief Accountant, where she will be responsible for the company's financial reporting requirements and the transformation of several key functions.
John Lancaster has held various positions at Choice Hotels since 2011, serving as Regional Vice President of Franchise Development, as well as Director of Global Procurement and Sales Solutions and Director of Franchise Development for the Mid-Atlantic, New England and Emerging Markets.
He currently holds the newly created position of Regional Vice President, Emerging Markets, Franchise Development and Owner Relations. He will lead Choice's efforts to expand hotel ownership to under-represented populations through the company's unique emerging market franchise development program.
