Aimbridge EMEA, a division of Aimbridge Hospitality, continues to strengthen its operational presence in Europe with the appointment of Xavier Etcheberrigaray as Director of Operations and Quality for the region.
Xavier brings a wealth of experience from a variety of hotel brands to his new role, including Kempinski Hotels, Rixos Hotels, Caesers Entertainment Corporation and HEI Hotels & Resorts. With an MBA in Hospitality from the Glion Institute of Hospitality Management, Xavier held a number of senior positions within Aimbridge Hospitality's US division before joining the European team.
As Director of Operations and Quality for Europe, Xavier will oversee the region's hotels, reporting to Nicole Turnhout-Ammerlann, Vice President of Operations. Based in Aimbridge's EMEA office in Amsterdam, Xavier brings more than 15 years of operational expertise in the hospitality sector and is excited about leveraging this experience to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
The appointment is part of Aimbridge EMEA's strategy to drive growth in the region, while continuing to develop talent within the organisation. David Anderson, Divisional President at Aimbridge EMEA, underlines the importance of Xavier's arrival in the context of the company's continued development in Europe.
Indeed, Aimbridge EMEA recently signed its first contract in Spain with the Grand Luxor Hotel & Village resort on the Costa Blanca, demonstrating its commitment to the European market. With around 1,500 hotels in 20 countries worldwide, Aimbridge Hospitality's global portfolio continues to grow, and Xavier's arrival further strengthens the company's position as a world leader in hotel management.
“Xavier joins us at a very exciting time for the division, with a lot of development work underway in the region and more European properties in the pipeline. One of our key objectives is to attract and retain top talent, so it’s a pleasure to welcome Xavier to the EMEA division from our US business, and we are looking forward to drawing on his skills and experience for the benefit of our owners here in Europe.” - David Anderson, Divisional President at Aimbridge EMEA
“I’m so excited to have made the move to Europe, while staying a part of the Aimbridge Hospitality family. There is so much opportunity in the hotel sector throughout the EMEA region and, as the largest third-party operator in the world, we’re in a strong position to capitalise on this. I’m looking forward to demonstrating operational expertise to both new and existing owners in Western Europe and drawing on our scale as a global management company to deliver outstanding experiences for guests, too.” - Xavier Etcheberrigaray
