
The brand will be called Next Hotels and Resorts and it will target the mid to upper scale markets.
This move comes after the purchase of Constellation Hotels, which brought 60 hotels to SilverNeedle's portfolio in Australia and New Zealand."We have kick started our business with the acquisition of Constellation Hotels. This acquisition gives us a great platform to launch our own new brand, Next Hotels and Resorts,” said Bill Black, president of SilverNeedle.There will in fact be a distinction between the Hotels and the Resorts, with the Hotels aiming at a more business clientele and the Resorts towards a more family/vacation clientele.SilverNeedle, based in Singapore, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the private investment firm Nadathur Group, which has offices in Singapore and India.
