Moderate rate growth despite recovery

In the European Union, the average rack rate for a single room was at 138.9 euros in 2006, representing 2.8% growth over 2005.After a period of decline, and then a downturn last year in the change of rates, this result shows an increase in the recovery for the European hotel sector, confirmed by growth in the RevPAR observed end September by +5.9%.
