From 11 December 2022, it will be possible to travel to the German amusement park Europa-Park on an INOUI TGV as SNCF Voyageurs expands its service to Freiburg im Breisgau.
Voted the best amusement park in the world from 2014 to 2022, Europa-Park celebrates Europe through its theme districts, which attract more than 5 million visitors each year. Located on the French-German border, French travellers wishing to visit Europa-Park have until now had to get off at Lahr station, located about 15 km from Europa-Park, and then take a regional train.
From 11 December, however, this will change as all INOUI high-speed trains to and from Freiburg im Breisgau will serve Ringsheim / Europa-Park station. To reach the theme park, travellers will be able to use the shuttle bus service.
This new stop will make it easier for travellers from the Ile-de-France and the Grand Est region to visit the famous amusement park. From Paris, the average journey time is 2 hours 37 minutes and 42 minutes from Strasbourg. In addition, the Paris - Ringsheim / Europa-Park journey costs from €49 in 2nd class.
In addition to serving Ringsheim / Europa-Park station, the offer between Paris and Freiburg im Breisgau has been extended. Two additional round trips will be introduced from 11 December, providing a 3-hour connection between the two cities.
From 11 December, passengers will also benefit from a new weekly return trip between Bordeaux and Freiburg im Breisgau. This no-connection route now offers Bordeaux residents the opportunity to travel directly to Germany, without passing through Paris, via Angoulême, Poitiers, Saint-Pierre des Corps, Massy TGV, Marne la Vallée Chessy, Charles de Gaulle Airport and Meuse TGV stations.
